Hair Today Gone Tomorrow

Ruby has been begging me for months to let her cut her hair... to be honest, I thought she was just being dramatic (second nature to Ruby) and never got around to making an appointment.

A couple weeks ago she came with me to my appointment and by the time we left the salon, she had booked an appointment of her own. To cut her hair. Short.

"short.short... just like you, mom!"

Well, she didn't go quite as short as me, but boy does she ever look cute!! She was especially excited that she had grown her hair just long enough that she was able to donate it towards wigs for cancer.
I have a co-worker who has battled & won against this horrible disease and Ruby wanted to do it in her honor. #proudmama

I kept waiting for her to back out, or panic... but she didn't. She just went for it and I love her so much for that. I am raising her to be a confident woman, and she did this because it was her decision and she didn't care what anyone was going to say.

I will be posting again with better pics... I just haven't had the chance to pull out the good camera this week.... I can tell you I will NOT miss arguing with her to wash & brush her hair!
