No Vacation, No Problem

Last year I was lucky enough to go on my first ever tropical all-inclusive beach vacation. It was amazing. Duh.

I wasn't able to save up or plan ahead to go on another dreamy vacation this year... it's really pretty sad. I have no idea how I managed winters for the past 30 something years.  I caught the travel bug though and now, a year later, in -30 weather and surrounded by snow, I wish I could go back.  I'm struggling.
Unfortunately, another trip just isn't in the cards for me so I've had to improvise.  It's easy enough to scour the internet & Pinterest to see if I can bring a little vacation to me instead.

House of Yumm has us covered for breakfast.  A Pina Colada Breakfast Smoothie!? Yes please!

How cute is this funky crab & nautical mix mani!? I love this spin on the usual beach inspired nail art!

Get beach hair without even stepping a foot in the ocean! This tutorial is amazing!

I'm sure I could find an indoor pool somewhere? This retro polka dot bathing suit from Modcloth is so cute!
Picking up a travel guide book to the places you want to go is another fun way to pretend that you're there... although, this one might be a little depressing. *wink*
So, for my fellow broke ladies... what are you doing this winter to keep your thoughts away from the cold & winter?

Jamberry Party!

I was recently introduced to a really cute nail product called Jamberry nail wraps.  I love them so much I wanted to host a party to tell all my friends about them.  I have seen them on so many people and they look AMAZING!
One sheet of Jamberry nail wraps costs $17cdn (plus tax and shipping) and gives you two manicures and at least two pedicures.  That's only less than $5 per application! If we put in an order together we will get FREE shipping! There are over 350 styles to choose from and the coolest thing is that they look great AND last for up to two weeks on your nails and up to 6 weeks on your toenails. You can order French tips, but the fun patterns are my personal favorite!
If you buy 3 sheets, you get 1 free!
Go here to check them all out: If we order now we should have them in time for Valentine's Day! Check out the cute new holiday wraps.

You can check out the application video here.  Jamberry has a satisfaction guarantee so if you try them and don’t dig ‘em, you can get your money back.  Chances are, you are going to LOVE THEM!
Kendra Russell is the consultant of my party.  She started selling Jamberry nail products in March 2014 and her business is on fire!  She would be so glad to talk to you about the products, the business, or anything.  Her email address is

My Very Own Custom Portrait by PatyChucky

You guys, I'm obsessed with my new custom portrait created by the talented Zuzanna of PatyChucky.
I totally dig custom portraits & spend a ton of time admiring the work of many artists on Etsy.  There are so many styles to choose from, but I was definitely drawn into the sweet, simple & quirky style of Zuzanna's shop. She even got my tattoos and nose piercing into the print! I loooove it!
(I think I might even revamp the blog using it as inspiration!!)

What do you think? Does it look like me?

Before the holidays my supervisor surprised me with a $50 gift card to spend at Forever 21... and for the life of me I haven't been able to narrow down what I want to spend it on. And I've been trying!  I thought I'd turn to my trusty, fabulous & fashion savvy internet friends for help!

Pretty In Pink... Hair

Last month I added a few lavender highlights to my bangs... although the color has pretty much faded out by now, it gave me a taste of how fun & pretty candy colored hair can be.  And now I'm a bit obsessed.  I think I actually *need* to dye my hair pink now.

I think the whole look of it is just so pretty & whimsical. Shades like pink & lavender are everywhere now, so the shock factor of it has faded... considering I work in an office in a very, VERY small town, it's important not to give my co-workers or our clients a mild heart attack when they see me.  Actually, to be honest, I think anyone who knows wouldn't be shocked at all.

So, what do you think? Do you love pink hair? Have you had pink hair? Do you think I could pull off this pretty shade?
