Wear : Gap Leopard Dress :

IMG_1846-BLOG IMG_1856-BLOG Leopard IMG_1855-BLOG IMG_1850-BLOG

Leopard is definitely my favorite animal print.  I own a lot of it... not excessive amounts, mind you, but of all the animal prints out there it is by far the one I'm drawn to.

And the only thing better than a funky leopard print dress is a funky leopard print dress on sale!
It was actually a sale on a sale on a sale type thing... and I scored this awesome dress at Gap for $18!  AND it.has.pockets!  I'm a sucker for a dress with pockets.

Also, a shout out to Memphis for helping me with my outfit photos this week.  My remote isn't working... so I've had to depend on help from others (usually the kids) or setting the timer on the camera & running back and forth.  He took these shots too!

#OOTD The Cat's Meow

Full Disclosure: Some items in this post were gifted to me, but the styling & opinions of these items are 100% mine.

IMG_1799-blog

When companies contact me to review a product or advertise their website on my sidebar, I always make sure I actually like their stuff.  I'm not going to promote or stand behind something that I wouldn't love if I hadn't just happened to stumble upon it by myself... I'm actually pretty quick to delete "partnership" emails.

In this case, I'm super happy I didn't pass this one up!
SammyDress was kind enough to send m this vintage inspired cat bag...
isn't it just the cutest?

The bag comes with a crossbody strap too, but I preferred it without.  It was small enough in size that I didn't feel like I was lugging around a carry-on... but roomy enough on the inside for my wallet, sunglasses, cell phone, keys and all that other junk moms end up with.... with room to spare!

The colors are great and when choosing an outfit to pair it with for the review... well, I could have paired it with almost anything in my closet.  I had a denim on denim look ready to pair it with, as well a cute romper & tights combo.  A versatile bag with personality... can't beat that!

SammyDress is based in Hong Kong, which usually means a long shipping wait.  I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I received my order!  They have a wide variety of apparel & accessories, but if I may, I'd like to focus on their bag selection for just a moment:

This green tote is less than $15!!
This faux fur  & rivets design goes for less than $25

I definitely think I need to order one (or two) more bags from SammyDress... what do you think!?

WWZDW

Um, hello!? How did I not know this website existed before now??  HUGE thanks to my friend Manon, who blogs over at The Bliss Project, for bringing What Would Zooey Deschanel Wear to my attention!!
Side note: if you enjoy adorable people/ teachers/ travel/ fashion... then you'll adore Manon!

Basically this website is a collection of outfits Ms. Deschanel wears in real life AND on her show, New Girl.  It gives you links to the exact (or similar) pieces she wears!  I can't tell you how many times I've seen a photo of her, or watched an episode, and wondered where I could track down her look.

For example, I love yellow & white daisy dress she wore on the show:

Thanks to the website, I now know it's Modcloth.... but unfortunately, WAY out of my price range & not longer in stock... boo.

But wait! WWZDW gives you similar alternatives... and this dress can be found on Amazon here!

See, this is exactly why I love the internet! Haha!

Since I love Zooey's quirky, retro & sweetly subtle style, I think I'll use the site for outfit inspiration too!

Our Trip To Omega Park

Yesterday, I"m sure my kids thought I was the best mom ever. Even more than usual, of course... *wink*

And this is why...

Last month, I took advantage of my first ever Groupon deal and bought day pass tickets to Omega Park.  We've been wanting to go forever it seems, but kept deciding against.  Saving $8 per ticket was too good a deal to pass up AND I knew we'd have to use the tickets before the end of April.
Because we waited until the last possible minute to go, and with a weekend forecast that was a little iffy (rain!) we decided to take the day off work & pull the kids out of school and surprise them with the trip!

Omega Park allows for an up close & personal experience with North American Animals.  With a kid obsessed with deer & moose, I knew Memphis would be thrilled... at the very least.  Well, the park did not disappoint!  We had a wonderful day together as a family!  The kids were so excited!  We couldn't have asked for a better day together!

For my local friends, if you haven't been yet, it's definitely worth it!!  I think we'll plan another trip to go in the winter!

Passion For Fashion #50

IMG_1465-blog IMG_1471-blog IMG_1475-blog IMG_1467-blog

...and my olive pants are back!
I basically live in these pants lately. Do you have a piece right now you wear over  over again?  Luckily they're a basic neutral so I can pair them with just about anything.  I found this cute shirt at Walmart... I'm always amazed at what I find there lately!

If you look back at the few outfit posts I've had the chance to take recently, this is almost a uniform for me nowadays.  Pants and a cute top.  It's not cold enough for winter wear... and I'm tired of tights.  It's not warm enough to go bare-legged, so dresses are out.  Pants it is then!

Horses, Studs & Lots of Orange

IMG_1452-blog IMG_1450-blog Orange&Horses IMG_1453-blog Orange&Horses(2) IMG_1461-blog

Jacket: Old Navy // Shirt: Forever 21 (similar) // Necklace: Walmart
Pants: Gap // Shoes: Walmart

I am soooooo over socks!  It wasn't necessarily warm enough to not wear any on this particular day, actually, but I'm pleased to say my ankles survived!  I just had to wear my new studded loafers.  I've been looking for a pair exactly like this forever... I just couldn't find the right pair anywhere.  Who would have thought my perfect pair of spiky flats could be found at Walmart... and for only $9, it was meant to be!!  I have all sort of outfits planned around these shoes already.  I think I'm obsessed.

And c'mon... bright orange pants? I couldn't resist.  I actually them on sale in the Fall... but I just checked and they're STILL available and still on SALE!

Don't you just love when it all comes together?

Don't forget to stop by tomorrow for Passion For Fashion... anything fashion goes!
And there's only a few hours left to win this super cute bracelet from The Shine Project! Enter here!
