Happy 2014! + 1st Giveaway of the year

I've never been one for resolutions... but this year, I thought it would be fun to make a list of things I want to do in 2014.

I want to take more candid "in the moment" photos of my family.  Looking back on 2013, I have a heck of a lot of outfit pictures... and the rest are photos I took for other people.  My hobby became more of a part-time job, and a little part of me resents the fact that I no longer reach for my camera just because.

I want to read at least 1 or 2 books every month.  More if I can.  I used to read all the time and I'm sad I can't find more time to enjoy books like I used to.  I keep buying books, but it seems like they're just piling up on my beside table (or in my kobo) not being read.  And that's not okay.

I want to be more active.  I probably won't join a gym or train for a marathon, but I want to walk more instead of taking my car, I want to take advantage of the beautiful bike path near our house and I want to actually get in the water when we go to the beach.

What do you want to do this year?

How about start if off by winning an awesome giveaway!?

  41. I made a couple resolutions.

Less tech time! I took all social media off my iphone except instagram. Now when I go on facebook or blogs it HAS to be on the computer, so it makes it a bit harder to just sit and surf when I should be playing with the kids.

Work on patience with the kids! I feel it slipping.

And be more active. Like you, I probably won't join a gym. I can't afford it, but I can go walk more. And my husband downloaded a work out game for the new XBox, so I'm hoping to do a few work outs during nap time!

I hope I win! I love your blog and I never win these things!! ha ha ha
