Roadkill & Tutu Panda : a very belated Halloween post :

First of all, can I just say that today is November 9th and it's snowing!?
I'm so not ready for snow!  Aaahhh!!

Secondly, I am amazed I was actually semi-prepared for Halloween this year.  Time seems to have sped up the past few months and there is seriously not enough hours in the day to get everything done.  However, being a mom that is usually on top of things, I remembered to order their costumes on time!

Yep. I ordered them.  I spent about $50 on a pair of costumes that probably cost $15 to make.  I know that.  I do.  But I just don't do "DIY."  Nevertheless, my kids were thrilled with the costumes I picked out for them.  I happened to remember Halloween one morning before they were even awake, so I took to the computer and picked out their costumes myself.  They can pick their own next year... promise.

Memphis was impressed with his roadkill costume and thought it was hilarious.  He was so proud to be strutting around on Halloween night wearing it.  And of course... A tutu-wearing panda is right up Ruby's alley.  It was a cold & rainy night so she's actually wearing 3 pairs of tights in these photos... and her shoes were soaking wet by the end of the night.

I thought the rain would mean a quick outing, but nothing stands between my kids and free candy.  We were out for over an hour... definitely one for the books!!

  2. Roadkill is hilarious! I have no craftiness bones in my body what so ever, so I don't blame you for spending 50 instead of 15! It has been spitting snow here off and on the last few days...yuck.

  4. Awwww they look adorable! I was bummed out that my two spent Halloween with their Dad this year, but they had a great time which is the main thing. I'm going all out next year and I'll be buying them in too.

  7. Looks cute, This Halloween, the most popular mask is the Arnold Schwarzenegger mask. And the best part? With a mouth full of candy you will sound just like him. I wear arnold`s robe as well.
