Hello, I'm Autumn from Gypsybeee and I'm here sharing my ink for Lena's weekly Tattoo Tuesday! I've loved tattoos as long as I can remember. My grandfather was a biker and was covered in beautiful artwork that always fascinated me and told so many stories about his life and experiences. Tattoos are so special for that reason, they really tell a story about a person and what they have been through, or the special moments that they felt important enough to memorialize on their skin.
I was sixteen when I had my first piece done, with parental permission of course, and after that it didn't stop until I had my son. Right now I have seven pieces, but I plan on adding a bunch more and finishing up a few that where abandoned when I found out I was pregnant. Here are a few of my favorites!
My back piece is probably the biggest project that I have undergone, it was about a five hour sit, and then I went back and had it touched up after it healed. I'm still going to add some floral pieces around it, but I love it as is too! The lyrics are from the song Jambi by Tool, it is the first verse and it basically sums up how I feel about my family and the loved ones that I cherish.
My thigh piece was the last piece that I started work on before finding out that we were receiving a little bundle of joy. My grandfather had a lot of Native American themed pieces, so I wanted to pay tribute to him with this dream catcher, but I put my own spin on it by adding peacock feathers.
My cupcake was done after I turned eighteen and it was the first tattoo I had done as a legal adult and without permission from my parentals. Needless to say they weren't pleased, especially because it was in such a visible place. I got it done with my longtime best friend, we have matching ones, and the sprinkles form a K toward the top, her first initial. It's probably one of my favorites because there is no black outline, and because the colors are just as bright and wonderful as the day I got it.
Last but not least, my foot! This tattoo is for my daughter, I got it about a month after she was born. I designed the entire piece by myself and took it to my artist and he did a wonderful job bringing it to life. I get the most compliments on this one. The other foot is reserved for my son and it will have a similar look to it.
I hope you enjoyed a little look at my work, and thank you so much Lena for having me today!
First of all, isn't Autumn one of the most gorgeous women you've ever seen? And she's super sweet to boot! So happy to feature her on Tattoo Tuesday this week. I love that her love for tattoos stems from her grandfather & that all her tattoos are special to her.
I can't wait to see her dreamcatcher once it's done, and what she has in store for her other foot tattoo!
Love tattoos? Have one or some you'd like to feature on Lena B? Just message me!
