|Dress: Forever 21 // Jeggings: American Eagle // Clutch: Thrifted // Wedges: Payless|
The dress over jeans look is one I've admired forever... but every attempt made me kind of sad. I just wasn't "feeling" any of the pairings I tried and I just couldn't understand why Pinterest and other bloggers made it look so easy.
Throw on a cute dress over a pair of jeans and go.... ugh! It just didn't work for me. So I gave up.
When Catherine linked up THIS look for Passion For Fashion, I knew it was time to try again.
These American Eagle distressed jeggings were PERFECT under my short & sassy Forever21 dress!! The color of the denim went great with the color & pattern of the dress and because they were SO skinny, it was almost like wearing a pair of leggings (jean leggings = jeggings!! seriously awesome invention!)... so comfortable!
My first instinct was to go with a pair of nude flats, but I'm happy I decided to go with these cute wedges instead. It was a bit harder to run after my kids... but at least I looked cute trying to keep up with them!!
Hey! So, it's also Monday... and we all know Mondays can be tough!
My lovely sponsor, Jennifer, of Spry On The Wall is back with another giveaway...
how does a $15 Starbucks gift card sound?

Hi, it's Jenny here from Spry On The Wall!
"I'm a wife, Mom to a 5 year old girl, Textile Designer and blog about fashion, style and occasionally post an outfit or two. I track the runway trends from each season and let you know about what colors, patterns and silhouettes you will want to keep on the lookout for. I like to post my take on looks from designer's collections each season, taking what was shown on the runway and translating it into more affordable (and relatable) options.
I also write about other things I love and find interesting or inspiring. If you are looking for a good book (or two) to read, make sure you check out my "Books I've Read" page. I keep track of all the good (and sometimes, meh) books I've read. One of my intentions for last year was to try at least one new-to-me recipe a week, which I then post on the blog's Facebook page with a link and what I thought of it. So please stop by, leave a comment or just say hi, I would love to meet you! "*****************************
Isn't she the best!? Thanks Jennifer!
Have a great week everyone!
