Passion For Fashion #2 :: Jeans & a Tee

Many women consider themselves ''jeans & a t-shirt'' kind of girls... I wish I was more of this kind of gal.

But I'm realllllly not. Even though I must have over a dozen pairs in my closet... it's hard to find a pair that fit just right.
Some fit great freshly washed, but then stretch out during the day.
Some fit well on the waist, but are saggy in the bum area... OR they're good bum jeans & give me a muffin top (just keeping it real).  Jeans are frustrating!!
To be honest, I feel most comfortable in a cute dress & a funky (yet practical & comfy) pair of shoes. I can't wear dresses every day, so when I do venture towards denim, I still try to have a bit of an edge.
These are my newest jeans and I LOVE them... essentially, this is my spin on the classic jeans & tee look. The tank was a steal at American Eagle (floral tank) and the Keds I found at Winner's.  $10 each... how could I resist?!

In the spring/summer, I LOVE a rolled up cuff on a jean... it just screams ''laid back & comfy.''
How do you style your jeans? Dress them up? Keep it casual?  linking up here & here

  6. I am very much a jeans and t-shirt gal. But you're right about it being hard to find a pair of jeans that fits well everywhere and doesn't stretch out as the day goes on. I have one pair that is perfect, but for most others I just end up wearing a belt because if they fit most places they're then a bit too big at the waist.

  7. And I tend to wish I was more of a cute dress and fancy shoes girl... jeans and tees are definitely my go to!

  9. American Eagle always seems to have the softest, yummiest cotton. Congrats on getting a great pair of jeans. It is hard. I always want to roll up my jeans and then think they make my legs look really short. It always looks amazing on other people though!

  10. Wearing the same outfit today, lol. My little ones love sticking their little fingers in the holes of he jeans - don't want them to "mess up" the beauty and style! Ha!

  11. I'm completely with you on the jeans frustration. I have a few that start off fitting great, but sag by the end of the day, some that ride up uncomfortably when I sit, etc. I LOVE the way you worked these, and they look incredibly comfortable and appropriate for warm weather :)

  12. It looks so nice and warm where you are. It's cold and rainy by me so I'm a little jealous. Jeans and a tee is by far my favorite go-to outfit, classic yet you could wear it a million different ways. Stopping by from the link up!

  13. I have some serious problems with jeans too. I wear them, but they aren't the most comfortable things. I really can't spend $100 on one pair like the "experts" tell you to do, so it can be frustrating.

    Great outfit! I like your spin on the jeans and tee.

  14. Love the outfit! I once found the perfect pair of jeans for me, and as my luck is, this style was discontinued at once. I'm definitely a jeans and t-shirt type of girl, even though the jeans don't always fit perfectly, it's simply comfy. Wore one of the less comfy jeans (dark wash and slightly to tight) to work the other day, with spanx to prevent the muffin top.. Got a "hot butt" comment from my (girl!!) colleage for it.. Butt or spanx?? :-)
