Happy Mother's Day :: letters to the kids & a giveaway ::

For the past 7 years I have been able to celebrate Mother's Day not only with my own mother, but as a Mommy myself.  And I owe this privilege to two amazing little people.

Dear Memphis,
Thank you for being a strong little boy and not letting others get you down.  Every day I see the struggle you go through to do what others expect of you... you try so hard to be "normal."  But please, sweetie... just be the best version of YOU you can be.  That's more than enough.
You bring smiles to so many people.  You are unlike anyone I have ever met, and I thank you for choosing me to help you on your journey.  I love you!

Dear Ruby,
I want to thank you for being such a sassy & spunky little girl.  I don't worry about you, like I do your brother.  I know you already have a pretty good sense of who you are, and you won't ever let anyone bring you down.  You are amazing.  And beautiful.  And smart.  And funny.  You know it.
Own it, girl!!  Mommy is so proud of you!  I love you!

I hope you are able to celebrate today with your wee ones... and with any & all motherly figures in your life!

Because I want you to have the very best Mother's Day ever I invited the adorable Julie of Coco And Cocoa to host a little giveaway!  One lucky winner will walk away with a large crochet flower brooch of their very own!

Entries are monitored! Open to everyone, good luck!

  3. The card I bought my mom this year talked about how lucky I am to have someone behind me and a mom that is there to kick my butt, even if I don't think I need it at the time. :) So here is to moms who kick butt!
