Chocolate Silk Pie

My husband whipped this up the other day and it was delicious... sinfully so!
He started with a homemade crust that his mother made... and it was so yummy!
You can make your own crust or buy one.  This recipe is ALL about the filling!

1/2 cup butter, room temperature
3/4 cup sugar
2oz baker's unsweetened chocolate
1tsp vanilla
2 eggs

First, break the chocolate into small pieces for easier melting in a double boiler on low/medium heat.
Once chocolate is melted, add the sugar (let the sugar melt into the chocolate) & then add the vanilla.
Let cool.

Whip your hair back & forth the butter gently until it has a creamy texture.  While still mixing the butter (once creamy) add the chocolate mixture to it.  Mix at medium speed for 5 minutes.
Then add 1 egg & continue mixing for another 5 minutes.  Add the last egg and, again, mix for 5 minutes.

Scoop it all into an already cooked pie shell and add a few chocolate shavings to make it pretty!

That's it!
