Have you read this book yet?
Sure, it took me awhile to get through... but once I really had the time to sit & read, I couldn't put it down. Without giving too much away, I loved that the book was narrated by both main characters... who by the way, I imagined would be played by Gwyneth Paltrow & Matt Damon if it ever becomes a movie!
Gwyneth has the looks and just the right amount of ''sass'' that would make her an amazing Amy...
Matt has the boy next door, you'll forgive me when I smile, look & naivety that would make him a perfect Nick.
Okay, back to the book.
It was an easy read, and I really enjoyed the way the story was told.
The pace was fast, and although I probably should have seen a few of the twists... I didn't!
I wasn't crazy about the ending... it left meneeding wanting more! I wasn't 100% happy where Gillian Flynn left the characters... but other than that, I have no complaints.
I have already suggested this book to family, friends & co-workers... I hope someone reads it so we can ''discuss'' everything that happened in the book. No spoilers here, I promise!
I love this review:
Have you read it? What were your thoughts?
Have you read any other books by the same author?
What are you reading now? I just started Alice in Zombieland... I'm hooked!

I love this review:
Gone Girl is one of the best—and most frightening—portraits of psychopathy I've ever read. Nick and Amy manipulate each other—with savage, merciless and often darkly witty dexterity. This is a wonderful and terrifying book about how the happy surface normality and the underlying darkness can become too closely interwoven to separate.Tana French, New York Times bestselling author of Faithful Place and Into the Woods

This was one of those books where I didn't guess the twists, either. I was definitely hooked and intrigued, but like you I just didn't like the ending.
My reaction to the book was strange. I got the reactions (shock, anger, etc.) and it was a good book, but for some reason I couldn't get into it. It took me forever and although the ending was a great twist I was just meh.
Everyone else loves it so obviously it's just me lol :)
So intrigued by this description. I am really on a reading kick lately! Happy Friday!
I haven't read it, but, it sounds good. I am right in the middle of this really good Greg Iles book. He is really good with thrillers. You should check him out.

I loved the book! At first I wasn't sure about the ending but the more I thought about it the more I liked it. I already want to reread this book but I need to give myself a few months first!
I liked the writing style--clever, funny. But the plot? It went from fiction to just plain fantasy too many times, and honestly, seemed too Hollywood, so maybe it *would* make a good movie!
i LOVED this book! I keep telling everyone to read it! I couldn't believe all the twists and the end made me to "WHAT?!?" and then I thought.... that was perfect! I can't wait to read more by her. I'm just finishing up something else but then onto Dark Places :)
I will have to check this book out. I love getting into a book and not being able to put it down. Thanks for the review. :)
I haven't read this yet, but it is crazy hot at the bookstore I work at AND the author is from the city I live in... so I totally keep kicking myself to read it. Hearing that it's the twisty-turny sort of mystery only motivates me to read it more!
I am in that mode ... I can't get started. I've read about 9 pages and haven't been able to sit in one spot for a couple hours and just read it! It's so frustrating because I really want to get into it!!!
I got it for Christmas from the hubs because I wanted it really bad after reading Jen from That's What She Read recommended it and did a giveaway on my blog for it!
You have given me motivation to pick it up again :)

I felt the same way about the ending. It was hard to put down though! Once I really got into it I just wanted to sit and read through to see what happened!!
I gave up half way through, maybe I should start again!
