Sunday Social :: I Love Fruitcake ::

1. What is your favorite Holiday season tradition?
For the past 2 or 3 years, we've been bringing the kids to pick an "angel" from the local angel tree.  The older they are getting, they are more excited about being able to do something for someone else.  They understand that some children, their own age, are less fortunate and it makes them extremely proud to do something that nice for another person.  The spirit of giving is alive & well within them!!

 2. Do you have a certain Holiday movie you watch more than others? If so what is it?
Oooh.... good one.
It's probably a tie between Elf, The Grinch & Olive, The Other Reindeer
{see this post for more of my favorites!}

3. Show us your favorite decoration or pinterest decoration you wish you could have...
I love the decorations we have right now... we have a few quirky ones {see Elvis} & also lots made by the kids or for the kids... like that blue rocking horse.  It's Memphis' "1st Christmas" ornament... hard to believe it's already 7 years old!  Our tree is a bit like a walk down memory lane for us...

 4. Favorite Holiday song?

We adore The Reverand Horton Heat's holiday album! Espeically "Run, Run Rudolph"

5. Favorite Holiday dessert?
  Fruit cake!! For reals!
My grandmother makes the best and she always sends me over a few because she knows just how much I love it!! Yummy!

6. What is on your wish list this year?
A remote & tripod for my camera, gift cards, nail polish, and a new TV!

  2. Hahah I can't believe you love fruitcake! I've been terrified to try it ever since To Grandmother's House We Go. I hope that reference doesn't show my age. ;) I love, love, love that Memphis and Ruby pick an angel each year. That's so beautiful!

  3. I don't think I have ever actually had fruit cake :)

    That is a great tradition with your kids. I always do it on my own, but someday it would be good to do that with my future kids.
