50 Shades of Stupid

Welcome to 50 SHADES OF STUPID!
The Brand New Link Up where we tell on all the stupid things we do and say!

I am so excited to be co-hosting this ridiculous (in a good way!!) new linkup!
{if you're here for Tuesday10 it'll be back next week!!}
Is it bad, though, that I've done or said so many stupid things I'm not even sure where to start!?

Like that time I went into a gag gift shop and picked up a mug that said "How to keep a blonde occupied →" and I literally, easily, turned the mug around half a dozen times before I realized what the joke was! Oops!  I remember blushing and looking around nervously to make sure nobody saw me do that!

If you want to talk "embarrassing" moments, I'll never forget the time I was in a fairly crowded bar and I head over to visit some people I knew at the next table, pulled out a chair, sat down... and BAM! Broke the chair! Imagine how funny that is to a bunch of drunk people?  Seriously, I was mortified.  Seriously, picture it.  Not cool.

Back to the dumb blonde thing... I'm so NOT a car person.  As in, I've NEVER pumped my own gas... so it makes sense that I wouldn't check my oil regularly, right?  Just a few weeks ago, my van was making a funny noise... so I did what any self-respecting 30-something year old woman would do...
"Daddy, my van is making a funny noise... can you look at it?"
Ha!
He was all like "Have you check the oil recently?"
Stupid question.
It did remind me to check that little sticker they put on your windshield that says when you should bring it back for another oil change... Oops, I should have gone 5,000kms ago!
Needless to say, Daddy came to the rescue as I was *almost* running on empty.
{and yes, I still call my dad "Daddy"...}

So... that's it for now!  I'll have to link up again soon, and next time I'll tell you about the time I asked a co-worker to hand me his blue balls...
Oh yeah.  That happened too.
*blush*

Now, it's YOUR turn, Grab a button, tell me something dumb you did last week,
last month, last year, 14 years ago...or maybe something you do regularly!
I am ready to get my giggle on. You know, the giggle you get when you are alone.
At your computer. Smiling like a monkey. That giggle.
Grab a button, link up, follow me and our totally awesome host,
which is Julie from The Funny Thing of It is and make us laugh!

  9. Hey, new follower ... found you via Jill.

    O had to laugh at the never pump your own gaz comment. I grew up in South Africa (I now live in Belgium) and drove for 15+ years before I simply had to fill my car.
    My husband was out of the country and the car was running on empty ... can't belive how easy it is.

    Our friends all still laugh at me.

  10. Everything's funny when you're drunk! To bad you hadn't been drinking long enough to laugh too. :)
    A (totally wasted) friend of ours once walked right into the screen door on our patio and we laughed so hard after that!
