Cousins. Sisters.

Can these two be any cuter?

I had my niece over for a sleepover last weekend since the kids & I LOVE when Piper comes to visit.
I have to admit, though, I second guessed my decision a few time...I was completely outnumbered and there must have been a full moon because the kids were WILD...

I can just imagine what these two will be like as teenagers... they're quite the duo!

OVERALL we had a lovely time.
We watched a movie (Thumbelina) & painted our nails and what's a sleepover without jumping on the bed, right?

I love MY sister so much, it breaks my heart a little when I think that Ruby will never have a sister of her own... then I see her & Piper together and remember that she already does.
My sister and I are so close that our own daughters are like sisters.

It's a beautiful thing to see!

Overheard at our last weekend:
Ruby: "Piper, stop treating me like a child! I'm almost 5."

Oh yeah, Ruby... so mature.

  1. That last photo is just too precious!! Lol at the almost grownup comment!!

  2. Those two are pretty cute!! How neat she has a "sister" even if it's not by blood. I never had a sister but had a friend who was just like one! Kudos to you for braving having her over! After all, sometimes it's a little chaos to get some great memories, right? ;-)

  3. Aww so sweet! and so true! cousins are def like sisters!

I have a cousin that's like a sister. She's 10 yrs younger than me, so it's a little different but I love her soo much!

  9. i luv this! when my little guy was born (after 6 yrs of of infertility and treatments) we always called our cousins, cousin brother and cousin sisters. we never knew if we would have anymore so i wanted him to always know that he did have brothers and sisters even if they weren't in the conventional way. he has an older brother (24 from my hubbys previous marriage) but i wanted him to know he had more than just one.

  10. Brilliant photos! The color scheme is perfect! Love, love LOVE!!!

  11. Cute photos. Love the color of Ruby's room! I think that you will have your hands full indeed when these two are older, especially since Ruby's so witty already and not even 5! Thanks for linking up with the mommy brain mixer today, Lena.
