AbsoluteMommy ~ Instagram DIY

One of my blog besties is back with a fantastic DIY today!
I love her DIYs because they're usually cute AND totally do-able!
For someone as uncrafty as I am... they give me hope!

She's talking Instagram today... can't wait!

Hi friends of Mom 2 Memphis and Ruby!  It's me, AbsoluteMommy.  I'm back with some more fun crafty business.  Now you know if I'm crafting, then it has to be easy peasy!  If you don't know who I am, then I apologize in advance, and would ask pretty please you visit me here.  Also read this, and you'll get an even better idea of me and my bloggy!

I'm so exciting to be posting about one of my favorite things, Instagram.  You don't know Instagram?  Well it's an awesome little app that was once only available to iPhone users, but recently it was introduced to Android.  You can follow all your favorite bloggers and friends on Instagram, just like Twitter or Facebook.  You will love it too, if you are anything like me.  My phone is usually glued to my hand, and being used for everything but making a phone call.  Also, it makes my grainy cell phone pics look awesome!!  I'd miss out on a ton of precious moments with my kids if it wasn't for my phone, and Instagram makes them look like art!

BTW:  I'm not being paid by Instagram or in anyway affiliated with Instagram.

Now, have you ever tried to print an Instagram pic?  I thought it was a lost cause.  There are numerous tutorials on how to do it, but I can barely use the now defunct Picnik.  So, I was over the moon when I discovered Postal Pix.  Well I didn't discover it, a fabulous blogger I Twitter stalk, gave me the heads up.  I fell in love.  I was able to order 8x8 and 4x4 squares of my favorite Instagram pics!  And I did it all from my iPhone.  It was just too easy.

So now what?
What do I do with my prints??

This is a short but sweet crafting project
for non-scrapbookers like myself.

You will need:
Scrapbook of your choice (Thanks Mom!)
Good photo glue/scrap booking glue
mine is ZipDry
Some awesome scrapbook paper
Any and all scrapbook-y things you like
Instagram pics

I went through and put my photos in order by date.
Then I decided how I wanted to lay them out on each page.

Next I chose some scrap book paper.
I cut my squares a little larger than the 4x4 print.
Then I arranged them on the page as I would like.
Add glue and start scrappin'!

Then take a pen, and fill in the blanks.
I also used my "Smash" book stamp.
I can't wait to fill this book with all of our Insta-memories!

I'm not a scrapbooker!
This is my first attempt.
So excuse the plain Jane-ness.
I promise to get a little fancier as I go along.
Got some tips for me?
Send them my way!
And don't forget to give Lena some love!

Thank you Megan!
I love this and I'm definitely going to try it out!
