Dirty Puddle

It's that time of year again...
Too warm for winter boots, not quite ''shoe'' weather...

boots: Walmart

And with the warmer weather, and melting snow come...
Puddles.
And we've got a HUGE one in the ditch across the street.

We spent a lot of time outside this weekend, and that particular puddle was a big hit!
It was still a bit chilly on Saturday, so the kids didn't get too close... but this little boy was very happy!

The weather really warmed up on Sunday, and by Tuesday afternoon... while I was still at work, I received a text from my husband with these photo attachments!

Shirt: Dickies, Jeans: Old Navy
Oh.Em.Gee
Get him out there!!
Haha!
Although, I was totally a bit disgusted at the thought of him rolling around in THAT(!), it warmed my heart to see him so happy.  And I DO remember what it was like to a be a kid... and we let him be.
We totally let him roll around in a puddle.

  1. Lol I would of had the same reaction! This is something my husband would have let my daughter do. But he does look so happy, I know I'm happy for the warmer weather and we didn't even get snow!

  4. Awesome that you let them be kids, but I also would have had the same reaction! I love the shot of that huge puddle he's standing next to because it reflects. Cool.

  6. Seriously - best parents ever! Even though it looks gross, I bet it was soooooooo much fun! :) I'm trying to be more of a 'yes' parent these days...remembering that kids need to be kids and explore...even if it means getting really messy.
