blog me vs. real me

Blog Me isn't shy
Real Me is very shy

Blog Me says ''awesome'' a lot
Real Me says ''awesome'' a lot too...

Blog Me rarely says ''eh?''
Real Me says ''eh?'' all.the.time.

Blog Me has great skin
Real Me... not so much

Blog Me tries not to complain much
Real Me can be a bit of a whiner... lol

Blog Me likes to talk about her kids
Real Me likes to talk about her kids

Blog Me doesn't want to worry about ''numbers''
Real Me sorta does...
(I don't need a ton of followers, but I do get a little sad when I lose one)

Blog Me doesn't talk much about her day job
Real Me works at an insurance company... Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 4:30

Blog Me tries to stay away from anything too ''controversial''
Real Me definitely has strong opions on certain ''controversial'' topics

Blog Me

But just slightly different.
I'm not saying Blog Me is fake.
I am who I am... blogging is an extension of that...
But I do feel much more confident on here, than I do in real life sometimes.

Does this make sense?
Are the Real You and the Blog You a little different too?

  1. Confession: I'm really worried that the real me is not going to be cool enough when I go to Creative Estates and meet bloggy friends in real life. I'm worried that the blog me is much more cool. *sigh*

  2. Totally, absolutely makes sense. Great post. I'd have to spend some time thinking about the blog me vs. real me differences, but there are definitely some of them there!

  3. Very interesting! I would say blog me is super up-beat with nothing bad going Real me has a lot of crap going on in her life and blogging can really help me feel better...The numbers and skin thing I feel ya! Thank GOD for photo editing :) Happy Thursday ! xoxo

  4. Totally makes sense! Blog me shies away from controversy too but real me defintely has lots to say about things!

  5. I love this! I definitely think there is a blog me/real me. One thing that blog me has been bad with lately is being more open and friendly. I just feel like there are so many clicks in the blog world- which doesn't bother me in real life but it does on the internet- maybe because it's hard to feel them out- which I find easy to do in real life. Am I making any sense?

  6. I think you are spot on. People who know read my blog and they see me but a different side I think. it's a little easier to just put myself out there hiding behind my computer!

  7. I agree! The blog me is much more outgoing online! The real me has more going on then the blog me shares... but I think that's a good thing.

  8. I'm not sure! I think they are a little different....but then I have Work Me, too. :) I came to your blog from Chickadette and clicked on your button b/c it was so unique! I'm a new follower.

  9. love this post!
Blog me is me but the happier version. I leave out most of the sad me moments. I don't want to come across as fake though.
I think that's why I've tried to be open about my depression and anxiety issues.
Real me says "eh" all the time too! lol
Real me has funny stories that maybe I should share more on blog land. Mostly they are funny in that I'm laughing at myself :) LOL

  10. I can relate to this. Blog 'me' is definitely a little more confident. She is the 'me' that can tell the world her thoughts without worrying what others will think... real 'me' can't do that yet! Xoxo

  11. Blog Me is a little different, for sure - a little more confident, a little more outgoing, a little more funny. I've always been "better" in writing. Real Me might pale a little in comparison...

  12. So true! I am sure I have lots of things I do differently on the blog than in real life. Thanks for the reminder :)

I ♥ hearing from you!
Thanks so much for taking the time to write me a little message!
