At this time 6 years ago, my life was just about to get a lot more interesting.
At 6:00 a.m. on October 7th, 2005... my water broke.
Nearly 17 hours later... I became a mom for the first time.

I remember that day like it was yesterday.

Memphis Mitchell
My firstborn.
My son.
My world.

I remember the days of him being my teeny tiny little guy...

Where has the time gone?
Why does it all go so fast?!?

He's in school now!
A big boy!

Without a doubt, he is the smartest, funniest, quirkiest and most complex little 6 year old I've ever met.
I am so proud to be his mommy, and I'm wishing him the best 6th birthday ever.  Tomorrow, we are having a reptile zoo come to the house for a presentation. There will be snakes in my house.  Probably big ones.  It's the party of Memphis' dreams!  I am so excited to see his reaction!  It's also the first time we've invited "friends" instead of just family.  Should be interesting!
