It's Friday, and I confess...

I confess... I can't stand not knowing what all the hype is about The Hunger Games.  The movie is being made, seems like anyone who is anybody in Hollywood is in it and comparisons to the Twilight phenomenon are everywhere.

I confess... I am heading to the library tonight to pick up the first 2 books of the series.  :)

I confess... I've only gotten about 40ish pages into The Memory Keeper's Daughter.  I've been trying to get into it for weeks.  It's not bad.  Nothing in the first few pages has really jumped out at me.  So far, just a more detailed version of what's on the back flap!  I think I'll put it aside, try to get into The Hunger Games, and go back to it once I have a bit more time!

I confess... I signed up for Pinterest.  You can find my boards & pins here.  Follow me!  I think once I get into it, I'm really going to enjoy it.  I already spend too much time on the computer daydreaming, anyway, now I can 'pin' everything that sets my little shopping heart a flutter!

I confess... I'm bummed about the weather forecast.  Again.  I'm participating in the Canadian Cancer Society's Relay For Life, and it's calling for rain. Argh.  The Relay takes places during the night.  7pm to 7am.  I've done it twice before and always had a pretty good time.  The first time I participating it was HOT {and I was about 3 or 4 months pregnant), last year was COLD and it looked like it would rain at any moment {got pretty miserable around 2 a.m.}.  I hope the rain holds off again this year, it's such a great cause.  Wish me luck!

I confess.... I'm loving the response to my first giveaway.  It's been so much fun to host  it!  It's a great prize, and no doubt any of you are deserving of it!  I thought it would be a fun way to spice things up around my blog!  If you haven't taken advantage of it yet, what are you waiting for!?  ;)

I confess... I'm happy it's Friday, but I should have called in sick or booked the day off... looks like it's going to be a beautiful day!  Too nice to be stuck in the office all day!  Bummer!!

Have a great weekend, y'all!

  4. I loved those books! I had no idea they were making a movie. I will have to check out some info on that! I read the Memory Keeper's Daughter a while back. It's a little slow. But, not the worst book I've ever read.
