Zoo Trip { Day Two, Part I }

I'm getting major flack from my sister for not getting these photos on the computer fast enough.  Actually, they're all on my computer, but there are about 600+ from our weekend in Toronto that I'm trying to sort though and edit a bit before sharing...
So, without further ado... here is the continuation of our trip to The Toronto Zoo last weekend.

Saturday morning starting off wet.  And luckily it had nothing to do with the weather!
We were seriously up at the crack of dawn to be sure we could squeeze in some pool time before leaving for the zoo.  Memphis and Piper got really into it... Ruby was content enough to just strut around in her tutu swimsuit.  I had already showered and gotten dressed for the day, so I skip the pool this time.

Another exciting perk to staying in a hotel... the elevator.  The kids fought alot  had a lot of taking turns pushing the buttons.

Finally, we were on our way.  The weather was perfect.  It was overcast and looked like it might start to rain, but it was great weather for the trek we were about to embark on (took us nearly 7.5 hrs to visit the entire zoo!).  Slacks and tees, with hoodies (and raincoats and umbrellas) in case it started to rain!

The Birthday girl arriving at the Zoo!  She turned Two!  (hey, that rhymes!)

Once through admissions, the very first 'wild thing' we encountered was this peacock!  He kept popping up everywhere!  What an amazingly beautiful bird!  Ruby couldn't get enough of it!

The pavillions were great!  The greenery was so pretty!  Here's our best attempt at a family shot!

... and what's a trip to the Zoo, without an adorable pair of Orangutans?

So, there you have it... a glimpse into the first part of our day at the Zoo.  More pics to follow soon!
Promise! :)
